It seems that there is a strong association of Easter with chocolate eggs and hot cross buns in our society… but a high dose of sugar and white flour may not be necessary uplifting to our body and spirit.
We can instead take the opportunity of Easter to cultivate a sense of joy and vitality in life.
We can start with having quality time with family and friends. Quality time means to engage with one another, look into one another’s eyes, share honestly from the heart, and gently expressing love for each other. To do that, we must reduce our “screen” time on our iPhone, iPad, computer, and TV, so why not have a technology-free Easter!? Then naturally, we will be spending more time outdoor, sunbathing, enjoying nature, laughing and being physically active. These are all very healing and connecting for the human spirit.
And while we enjoy all the delicious home-cooked food, not to forget to include some energy-boosting and cleansing juices. Juicing extracts all the health-enhancing nutrients from the fruits and vegetables, and is a fantastic way to replenish our body with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Organic Ingredients preferred, and you can add coconut oil, chia seeds, macca powder, raw cocoa nibs, or flaxseed for extra nutrients.
